Associate C.J. Persson was elected as a member-at-large to the Maryland
State Bar Association’s Business Law Section Council. Her three-year term will commence in September.
Bringing
over 11 years of legal experience with 15 years of business management
experience, Persson represents companies of all sizes and maturity
in the health care, technology, construction, manufacturing, finance, beauty
and retail industries.
She provides counsel on a full
spectrum of business issues including, but not limited to, entity formation and
private financing, commercial leasing, employee benefits, importing and trade
compliance, intellectual property protection, promotions and tax. Her practice
also involves developing and drafting compliance programs for health care
providers.
A
member of the Bar Association of
Baltimore City, Persson
previously served as deputy general counsel at Fila U.S.A., Inc. She was a
corporate and tax associate at two Baltimore
law firms earlier in her career.
Persson earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law,
where she was an associate editor of The Business Lawyer, followed by an
LL.M. in taxation from the
University of Baltimore School of Law. She previously
earned a bachelor‘s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida,
where she graduated summa cum laude.
Persson resides in Baltimore’s
Locust Point community.
